We all use some form of electronic equipment to access this forum. As for myself, I use an HP laptop. Many of us at one time or another experience difficulties with our equipment. I hope that forum posters that are in need cn voice their current problems here and perhaps another forum member can help with answers or advice. From Smartphones to Laptops to any other internet accessible devices, solving some problem or other can be a true blessing.

I'll start with a current problem that I'm experiencing. The battery on my HP laptop will not take a charge and I'm afraid that I may need to replace it. Having never had to do this before I would appreciate any advice on where to buy a new battery from, any tips to follow before/during/and after I try to replace it myself. Any serious advice would be greatly welcomed.

What's the model number? If you flip your laptop over, there should be a sticker with a model number on it.

2. I just PM'd ZTC regarding the fact that my iphone never shows, much less reads, the outside links which are posted. I turned off some of the pop up blockers I had but that didn't seem to help.

What's the model number? If you flip your laptop over, there should be a sticker with a model number on it.

I've found the sticker, but it has 4 sets of numbers on it. X16-96072 seems to me to be the most likely set of numbers to be the PC Model Number. Another number is the product key, and there are two additional sets of numbers as well.

My PC has power as long as it remains plugged in to a power supply. I am going to download a full backup to hard disk before I attempt to proceed with changing out any batteries (seems the safe thing to do).

Any advice, suggestions, etc. will be greatly appreciated, thank you all.

Another way to find out is to do the following.

Hold your Windows Key and press the R button.
Type 'msinfo32' without the quotes.
Then press Enter or click "OK" button.

You'll see a list of stuff. Look for "System Model" it should be about the 7th item listed.

Perhaps HP 2000-412NR Notebook PC is my correct model number. I never said it was a new PC. Far from it.
