Points,
1. I said "IF" Burks is a washout....I would sure love to see him get more PT than 44. He is supposed a high football IQ and should understand things by now.
2. None of you mention safety as a priority. This after losing our "All-Pro" mid-season....telling.

SSchind,
NP, I should have been more precise in my language. I don't know if he is a washout or not, but
- 44 is really not cutting it
- From everything we were told, Burks has a very high football IQ
- He should know the defense by now, so frigging play em and lets see. (unless he is hurt and I am unaware)

I was surmising that if he is NOT playing, then given points 1&2 above, then THEY seem to think he is a washout.

Incidentally, Tankathon has the Packers taking Deionte Thompson , safety out of Alabama, in the first round. With 104 tackles (63 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, six passes defensed, and three fumbles forced (one recovered), Thompson is the top-rated safety in the 2019 class. At 6'2'' and 196 lbs, he strikes me as a little on the skinny side, but at least he'd have a chance of matching up against some of the taller receivers in the league. If this highlight reel is any indication, he doesn't shy away from contact, and he likes to go low and wrap up, traits that have been sorely lacking in our defensive backfield of late. Most importantly, he doesn't lead with his head or settle for throwing himself at the feet of ball carriers and hoping he manages to trip them up.

Go low and wrap up? You mean he doesn't just fling his body at someone and hope he knocks them over? Lets draft him and hire his coach.

I would be more enthusiastic about his coach. I would never draft a safety in the top 2 rounds.

If it were my task to build a football team at any level, Day 1 I build the best Offensive and Defensive Lines that I can. Running, passing, rushing the Passer, and stopping opposing run attacks all begin and end with the BEEF.

[cheers]

Zero2Cool (23-Jul) : Suppose if locker room is main issue, we sitting pretty
wpr (23-Jul) : I thought so Mucky. In those useless player polls GB always rates high overall. Locker is a part of it.
