Walked in to a standing ovation and out to one as well. Doesn't seem like he had lost his locker room

Yeah, feelings for people always get stronger when they're gone, either by death, firing, whatever. I doubt many players disliked McCarthy as a human, but I'm not sure they were buying his football message. That's not personal, it's just business. Can't take that stuff personal.

Either way, Murphy screwed up by not making this happen in the off season, or before. I can't deny that.
