You all know my theory that this whole shakeup is at least in part being orchestrated by Aaron Rodgers.

We all just got what we asked for. But if A PLAYER is running the show, this could get ugly. IMHO, this whole thing started after the 2014 NFCCG v the Seahawks. That was a debacle that changed the course of our franchise.

Mike relinquished playcalling duties, and Aaron got to name his guy as play caller in 2015. We all remember how that ended.

Nothing has been the same since. Aaron spent half the next two season playing like shit, then last year we lost him for the year. Point is, THAT is what Aaron got, when he demanded his guy. I'm not saying they're gonna get Tom Clements as a HC, but they have to make that decision in the best interest of the FRANCHISE. Aaron doesn't need someone to let him have his way right now. We need someone who is gonna stand up to Aaron and make him step into his throws, employ the proper mechanics.

This is a critical juncture for our franchise, for this semi-dynasty we've had for the past 25 years. Is Mark Murphy gonna take Aaron's advice on this hire? I at least hope Gute doesn't.

I would think that if Murphy is an intelligent leader he will welcome input, but be clear that the decision is his to make, that he will make his own decision, and then he will own the decision for better or for worse.

Don't think you can really blame Tom Clements playcalling for the offense not being good when after McCarthy took it back the offense didn't improve until halfway through the next season.

You say your opinion, your speculation as it's fact.

One of the factors in Mike having Tom call plays was his devestation of his brother's death. That is the moment folks say changed Mike.

Tom was chosen to call plays because he was the current offensive coordinator. Part of Tom calling plays was him being promoted to assistant head coach and then Mike made the mistake of promoted Edgar to OC.

The facts don't support Aaron choosing the play caller. Nothing supports that, not even logic.

No it's not a theory. It doesn't even make it to the level of a hypothesis. It is really no more than a WAG based on no facts whatsoever. Some would probably call it a wet dream but I won't. I will say it's one man's idea or concept but hasn't been proven enough to advance up the line.
