Someone made an interesting point that the Packers would be 7-5 (really 6-4-2, they're just splitting the tied games) if Crosby would have made all his FGs this year.

I wouldn't e surprised to see Gute grab a kicker if there is one he likes.

Crosby is 22 for 29 on the year for a 75.9-percent conversion rate. That's below his 79.9-percent career conversion rate, but the margin is less than I would have expected. Looking at the numbers, Crosby isn't an elite kicker and hasn't been for some time. It wouldn't hurt to at least cast about for his replacement, whether or not management decides to pull the trigger.

I’m not sure if this really is a problem or not, but I have noticed on several attempts that Crosby looked at the holder and had some words with him. I’m wondering if part of his woes this year have been because of poor holding. Just speculation

The Packers should look at Lewis Ward from the Ottawa Redblacks. Went 51/52 this season in FG made in a stadium which is not the easiest to kick in. He owns the consecutives FG made record for a professional kicker.

I think keeping Ron Zook is a fireable offense.

Crosby has never been money with the game on the line, but he has a strong leg and is consistent.

I think the misses this year are more highlighted because they were at times that cost us games.
I do believe it’s time to sign a new guy.

But what Zero said is true, that game plans against us would have changed had Crosby made certain kicks. So in the end, maybe the missed kicks were not as costly as they seemed.
