I could listen to this guy all day long. Always seems like he knows what the hell is going on and the adjustments on the fly are just great.

Even Belichick knows that the constant pass rush was the reason for many of those completions! Rodgers and others often had no chance.

Z, Thanks for posting. This stuff is great! You really get to see how this guy teaches and encourages on the sidelines, when it matters! That’s why he such a great coach.

I couldn’t help but feel a bit of envy.

When he kept emphasizing “setting an edge” I just wish we did that more consistently and more often. Because we don’t, we are so vulnerable and around both ends in the rushing game.

Did you notice that Bill doesn't call the plays? He has assistants do that. He is focused on the bigger picture. He takes the time to talk with the individual groups (DL, WR or even refs and other coaches) and has men he trust make the calls.

Funny he talked to the ref about the GB receiver not getting set before the snap. I saw that at least once and was surprised there wasn't a whistle on that play.

The refs respect him. He's given some latitude because he has earned it.

Yeah, I mentioned a couple of times during the Patriots game that our left guard and/or tackle seemed to have jumped early, and I was surprised that it wasn't called. I've also noticed a few instances over the past few weeks in which it seemed like a wide receiver was lined up in the neutral zone, but that wasn't called either. Other years officials have been all over that. It's interesting to observe how officiating emphases shift from season to season.

Also, in the NFL are you not allowed to have anybody in motion whatsoever when the ball is snapped? What is the rule on that?

One player can be in motion at the time of the snap, provided that a) the player is lined up at least five yards behind the line of scrimmage, not on the line of scrimmage; b) the player does not advance toward the line of scrimmage (i.e., he's running backwards or laterally); and c) the entire offense was set (at a complete stop) for at least one full second before the player initiated motion.
