Who said he was great? If no-one then why are you being a jackass about this?

Like I said, there must be more to the story than we know, otherwise Whitehead didn't deserve to be fired....

I guess we should start holding candle light vigil for the great Jermaine Whitehead.

He really made such a big difference in their defense, I don’t know what the hell we will do without him

We should be doing what the saints are doing. They are winning games and blasting teams and are looking to add some top WRs mid season.

Who knows, maybe he was being a douchebag in the locker room after the game or something. I’d like to hear comments on this from BG or MM.

It's never just one thing.

That being said, in a fantasy world and since we're on the subject, I'd like to see Clay moved for getting bullied by a RB and not being able to get off a block of a tight end. Man, how the mighty have fallen.

This is an area where the NFL is blind, ignorant or doesn't care...they have instant replay, why not use it to see who started it, as the second man is usually the one caught/called for the infraction.

Also based on MM's comments, Gute get rid of guys for multiple reasons... I wonder if one of the reasons to let go of Whitehead is because he's taking playing time from Josh Jones and Oren Burks, but of whom have more raw potential but need to be developed more... and Gute wants them to be prepared to play more next year. Also Josh Jones reportedly played fairly well at SS after Brice's injury.

I love accountability, but unless there is more than we know (and there probably is), this is NOT accountability...

Again, there has to be more to this... or this is completely bullshit! So I'm assuming there are.muliple things we don't know about...

"Accountability" ONLY works if ALL are held accountable. Vets can be given a little leeway; but what's worse: Rodgers intentionally, EG, skipping a wide open MVS in the progression on 1st and G at 9 in GB's first drive @ NE or Whitehead reacting with too much emotion slapping a guy after being pushed?

Remember the words of Julius Campbell, "attitude reflects leadership."

I've come on the believe that getting the young/high draft picks of Josh Jones / Oren Burks and trying to develop them to their higher potential, might be among one of the reasons.

With Gutekunst wanting/hoping they might be fully developed by the start of next year and they need some more playing time for that to happen.
