So last night after dinner I came home and was going to add some more stats to the Aaron Rodgers thread. I get "Network Timeout". I checked the database and I see people still posting which means the site is still accessible. So I did a ping, came back great. Did trace route, came back great. Tried to FTP into the server, BEEP, no go. WTF? Why can't I FTP into it? I couldn't browse to it either. Not on FireFox not on IE. I reset my modem, reset my router to factory settings and cleared my cache on both browsers. No luck.
Also my printer is hooked up to my desktop in which we use with our laptops which we obviously use wireless to. Well, some of our papers being printed were getting cut off. Lots of weird shit was going on.
I called my host and they said everything was fine. I called my ISP they said everything was fine. I said BS, I can't even get to my website but everyone else can!! I could navigate to PackersHome.com on my phone though. Yippie! Whatever...
So I called my host back up and they did some testing with me like I was some old fart who was first using a PC. Which, I understand, but I was losing my patience. Well, they wanted to kill the website and take it down for an hour to do some weird maintenance shit to it. I said "no way, everyone is able to post just fine except me, just help me get my problem fixed please". They were hell bent on taking the site and I told them no I'll just figure it out on my own.
I then connected my desktop directly to my modem, I was able to connect to the website. So, it was something with my router. Well, I had to pick up Keiana and finish doing laundry.
I came home just a bit ago to test it out and suddenly it works again for me. I just don't get how the owner of a website is the only bastard who can't connect to it! Just doesn't make sense. I was able to get to any and every other website out there except my own!!
For those who are saying "Zero was gone for 24 hours?" F U! 😛 Those who noticed, thank you and here's a good laugh for you all.
:D
