Obviously I choose not to cuz I am sick and tired of how people act like they know how it is to set up the 3-4...

Every time a player is talked about 1st thing I hear is..He is to small, he is to big, he is to slow...etc..etc...

I could have said it differently, but then honestly my post would have been more of a rant then this

There are so many variables to the game, no one, even the staff at this moment can accurately without doubt project how players are going to fit. That is simple fact of the situation.

Question that, see the draft and free agent busts that don't work out, there is a reason that 50 percent of players fail to become successful from college to the pros..

My point is that is the mere basis for a forum, to share thoughts, facts and opinions.

I certainly don't have a problem expressing thoughts or opinions, otherwise I wouldn't come here. But I do agree with my opinion of Longtimes message and that was just not to "freak out." Perhaps that's not what he meant, but that's how I took it. I trust Dom to make a smooth transition and I can't see our defense getting any worse then it was last year. I see a decent improvement next year, and a steady improvement in the next few years after that.

So, I think we'll be in decent shape. Do I think we will win the super bowl next season? No, I don't, even if we signed 4 big time free agents. But I think we will be very competitive and have a chance to make a run throughout the next decade unless the cap issues (or lack thereof) significantly affect us. That's all you can really ask of a team is to be competitive and in the playoff hunt almost every year, which I think we are primed to do. As many of us know, once you get into the playoffs with a solid team, anything can happen, including winning the super bowl. Talent isn't necessarily the only factor in winning. I think all we have to do is look at the Cowboys for an example of that. I'll take a solid but perhaps not great UNIT any day of the week.

I wish, then we could actually see some evidence to put to thoughts.. instead of discussing it in a projection.
