On one of the kickoffs the returner fell down, no one tackled or touched him yet. Packers were shoving 49ers and Mason saw dude get up and brought him down. Sure looked like he had open field.

I saw that and wondered if the return man had been bumped causing him to fall. No one commented on it and I even thought I saw a ref blowing his whistle and stopping the clock. I was glad Mason kept on playing but then I wondered if he was going to be flagged for Unnecessary roughness.

the ref thought josh jackson tripped the returner, which he did not, but even as the runner was still on his knees the whistle clearly blew, still heads up by crosby but it never would have counted since the whistle blew and cant be reviewed, !!

So then, technically the reg saved the TD. LOL Good hustle by Crosby, not so good by the other special teamers.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

Well Crosby didn't touch him on first pass either, so if we're gonna give him credit for his second effort, also got to knock him for the first... but it makes sense the whistle blew... that being said, if the play continued, would the ref have owned up to his mistake, if he could just ignore it... and say there was no whistle blown?

Ref would probably own up to it, but there is always that once time it doesn't happen... and the play happened even with the whistle and it still counted.

When Crosby missed all those FGs, Scott was tilting the ball to the right. Plus he covered the top quarter of the ball with his huge paw.

He's just too damn tall to crouch down like that; I'd like to see them find someone else.
