Heck, I KNOW I don’t know everything.
In fact I know very little.
When I give my opinion, I know it’s ONLY that. I can’t mind read, so I don’t know what anyone else means.
I just don’t understand why some people think they can treat you like you are an idiot if you don’t agree with their opinions.
Mutual respect SHOULD be the rule.
Unfortunately there are bullies that think they are always right, and you dare not say they might not be right in any way.

Do you know somebody who could be so much better? A loved one? Oneself? That is what frustrates me with this team. If I thought this team sucked I think I would have a much more positive state of mind. There is no excuses for not being prepared, there is no excuses for the number of stupid penalties we take, and there is no excuses for not executing simple football concepts like taking the easy stuff to keep the chains moving. Some fans try and not get too emotionally invested. That is good on them. I wish I could be more like that. I want the Packers to be the best they can be with the talent they have. In my invested world it has been a disappointment for quite awhile as I think with an Aaron Rodgers this team should not have to struggle the way it does year in year out.

I think we all want the Packers to do well, but it is hard to maintain a positive state of mind when we feel there is potential, and its not being attained.

Also, in regard to the original topic, this site is a great outlet for me to read different ideas from all different points of view. The ones who don't share my point of view are the BEST ones for me to read as they should cause me to think...especially the best researched ones. Some of you guys come up with awesome statistics and research....thank you.

Its when we get into motives and name-calling (which I have wrongly engaged in) that this becomes negative for all involved.

We need to keep the debate, whatever the topic, on ideas, observations, without ascribing motives or character assasination.

As some of you have observed, the offense does not seem to improved over last year. Where are the slants, rubs, and quick hitting (old west coast) offensive changes we were promised. We just seem to be stagnant on offense.

Finally and frustratingly, I have to be at work dinner tonight so I will miss both the Packers and Brewers.

Please yell at the TV for me!!!!

Porforis, I know what you mean.
I have Ménière’s disease and every time there is a weather change, I get severe migraines, vertigo and nausea.
Put that with my diabetes, heart disease, and severe back pain from my being hit by a car and ending up with spinal fusion surgery, and I am having a hard time finding anything to go on living for. My wife and my sweet little chihuahua are all that keeps me here.
I don’t have anything that excites me. I have deer hunted since I was 16, and always looked forward to it. I’m not even going this year.
The Packers always gave me something to enjoy during the long winter. Now I don’t even get excited about that.
Oh well....I guess I’ve been here too long.

When she's available, we do stuff together and it's fun. We'll talk for 30 minutes or an hour or so and catch up. While I'd love to hang out with her regularly, she's just not a person where that's ever going to happen except in small short occasional bursts when things are going good. I no longer resent her, she is who she is and I appreciate her either way. Even if I'll still tell her when she's making poor decisions.

Relating this to football - it's frustrating that this team is underperforming for the raw talent they have, but it is what it is. You can either let football stress you out and make you angry, or you can accept the team for all of its flaws, still call them out when they're being dumb but not letting that get to you.

Sschind, I wasn’t saying you.
I don’t even remember any snarky post you have made. It was just a general observation on my part.
Believe me , if I posted some of the things I have thought about some of the things posted here, I probably would have been suspended.
I police myself oftentimes. It rarely turns into anything positive if you just rip on someone.
I try to state my point without belittling anybody.
I know I’m not always right, or state my point clearly. It’s hard to do so when it’s just words in a screen and you can’t actually TALK to a person. Face to face you can more often then not, clear up any misunderstandings.

I am a forum junkie but I have mellowed a lot over the years. I am sure we would all be suspended if we ever said what we were truly thinking some times.

Its a great group we have here and for the most part I think we all respect each other's positions pretty well. Sometimes it is hard to hold back though and like you said it can be hard to distinguish intent with the written word.

Great comeback last night. We are not in great shape by any means but it could be worse. My biggest concern is why can't we play all the time like we did toward the end of the game last night. I know the way the opponent plays has a lot to do with it but Rodgers made it look so easy.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
