You think the Packers should hire someone for this created position?

That's the head coaches frigging job. He is to make sure:
- whoever is calling the damn plays/player packages to get them in AS THE PREVIOUS PLAY ENDS and he knows down and distance
- the play caller can not take 5 seconds and think "hmmmm who do I have in...what should I do now"
- the team should know basic flipping time management skills (like the guys from better schools (CAL, Stanford) seem to know
- go out of bounds when you need more clock
- stay in bounds when you are running clock (duh)
- don't waste time outs in the first and third quarters when its 3rd and 12 and your running out of play clock time. Take the delay and lick your wounds
- when time is a premium (in the 2 minute drill) dont take 20 seconds getting everyone in position...spike the friggin ball and get organized. Old ways are actually sometimes the best ways.

Sorry this is a sore spot with me. The speed of play calling and substitution was much better in the Washington game however.

I will do it for nothing if you give me 15 minutes with the team and coaches...this isnt rocket science

Hire somebody, McCarthy's clock management has been pathetic for years.

You would think after this many years in the NFL, MM and AR would know how to get a play off before getting a delay of game penalty, or having to waste a time out.

Nothing pisses me off more than watching an offense take a delay-of-game penalty coming out of a timeout. I saw it happen with the Patriots just this past Monday night. It's even more infuriating when that timeout was taken to prevent just such a penalty. It's hard to think highly of the professionalism of a unit as poorly managed as that.
