Green Bay's No. 3 QB spent $150 on a Rodgers jersey not because of rookie hazing or a lost bet. He's just a big fan like everyone else around town.

At $570,000 and no signing bonus we know he is one of the lowest paid players in the league. If he manages to stay on the roster all year his $570,000 has to place him in the top 10-15% of all US incomes. (The US median household income for 2018 is $59,055. )

So if $150 for a jersey is a lot of money to him it's a lot of money for almost most everyone.

I just remember the JJ Watt story (and others like them) where the players personal bought the stuff they were giving away, and then found they didn't have no, that the team suplied it?
