I went up to GB today. First time in several years. Went through the Packer hall of fame, which was pretty neat. Then watched some of the practice at 11:30am. Was a lot of the o-line blocking, and the punt team.
Watched the QBs go through drills, but Aaron Rodgers wasn’t there. I don’t know why.
It was 81 degrees and sunny, and I didn’t stay for the whole thing.

Loved things in the pro shop...but man....is it EXPENSIVE!
Even the “clearance” items were too much money for me.
Got a “100 seasons” keychain.

Great stuff Cheesey. It is sad how much merch costs. How do you grow the game when most parents struggle to buy stuff for themselves let alone for kids that will outgrown it in a year?

To answer your question about Rodgers, most of the "grizzled vets" get to skip this mini camp. Found it strange that even a new guy like Marcedes Lewis was allowed to miss it.

It's cool you were able to go see it. I live in DC, so I never get the chance to go up there and experience stuff like that. Will be at game Week 3 when the Skins host the Packers though. Always make sure I don't miss a chance when they come down here. Even managed third row seats for the playoff game a few years back.

It’s just as well. Less chance of a freak injury.
Davonte Adams was out there catching passes. He didn’t come close to the stands, so I couldn’t get a picture of him. He looked good though!
I was hot just watching them. I can imagine how hot the players were. It was 81 degrees and sunny.

I still keep an eye out for vintage glassware and a few other things but he only new things I will buy are diecast cars or things I can find second hand. Thankfully they have stopped producing so much of that. When the Packer beat the Patriots in the SB there were I think 9 or 11 commemorative SB die cast items. when they beat the Steelers I think there were 3. They even stopped the annual mini semi in 2013 or 14 which is the one thing I wish they would have kept up on.

I'll still pick up a few new T shirts from Shopko or wal mart (I'd never pay pro shop prices) each year if I find quality ones I like but the pickings are very slim there as a well

Me too. I go to resale shops and outside fairs and look for deals.
The last jersey I got was about 3 years or so ago. It’s a yellow Aaron Rodgers with green lettering. It has sewn on numbers and lettering. Not a cheapo.
My wife got it for me at the pawn shop for $23. That was my birthday present. Something nice that didn’t cost an arm and a leg.
I just can’t buy things without feeling guilty at the cost. When you are on a fixed budget, you really consider everything to decide if you REALLY want it.
By the way....why do they call it a “fixed” budget? It SHOULD be a “broken” budget!😂

I don't think it is called a fixed budget I think it's a fixed income

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Possibly hit his head leaning into the glass protecting the food in the cafateria
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Maybe a low flying drone
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Did Savion Williams run into a goalpost or something?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Is that better or worse than Banks bad back?
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Savion concussion ... not good.
