That would suffice.. but that is not how the game is called today.

I also think whining for a flag on every incomplete should be dealt with as well.. whine, you must sit a play. :)

That's something that Greg Jennings did that just wore me down. Every damn time he didn't make the catch, arms flailing, huge exasperated gasp as if to say how dare you not throw a flag! I would love to see complaining to the ref be an automatic 5 yard penalty. Call it the "No Whinning" rule.

So you get beat on a 50 yard pass, you know you can't knock the ball down so you armbar the guy so he can't catch. You're fine with that being just 15 yards when the WR could have caught it for 50 or possibly more?

They need to eliminate pass interference altogether, stop adding more damn gray areas! Let men be men and quit the crying. (not aimed at anyone, just my general feeling on rules, i h8z dem)

I thought I read on NFL.COM that they decided against that pretty quickly. I can't find the article though, my computer won't let me load old news for some reason.

I use to like the spot foul but now I would accept the 15 yd penalty.
Just like the argument that the DB will pull the receiver down if he's beat on a long play, the offense has already made the adjustment. There are several times a game where the QB is simply throwing it up and hoping that the receiver catches it or is able to draw the penalty. Even the great Aaron Rodgers does it a couple of times a game. You can see him run immediately over to an official and complain.

Which brings us to the question, if a receiver gets a 5 yard penalty or better yet forced to sit down for a play, can you imagine what would happen if you took the QB out? 😂
