I think I messed up his name, but after watching this, I kinda like him. Good first impression. Let's see it translate it on the field.

I found his comment "if they know what you are in pre-snap, you are in trouble..." to be exceptionally welcome and spot on. Last year is was very very easy to read what we were in pre-snap...and the results showed it.

I am very optimistic about his approach.

So I'm now trying to re-train myself since I have been pronouncing it Pet-teen.😲

Playing devil's advocate-- I also hate it. I hate it because some of the players that are already on the roster have shown the inability to run any type of complex scheme. Honestly, if you cannot grasp an NFL playbook, you shouldn't be on a 53.

This sounds complex. Pettine assured everyone it is not.

Excited to see what he can do with this defense and whatever Gutey adds. He wants to have a great defense and he is determined to win. Breath of fresh air compared to hearing Dom talk in his later years with the Packers...

True, Yerko. These guys are college graduates. If they don't have the smarts to pick up the defense, then how did they graduate from college?
If you want the big bucks, you have to earn them on the field.
Hopefully our new D leader can get the most out of the players.

thats why they give the wonderlic. you cant hide stupid.
NE likes veterans as generally they have the brains to ACT vs REACT.
We need to measure and judge quick adaptive thinking ability, in addition to 40 yard dash and underwear drill time. Dumb players just kill you.
I fear we have quite a few.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
