Yup....why even bring it up if he won't tell who it is? Whats the sense in that?
Unless it's the old childish "I know something you don't know!"

If McCarthy did walk, I'd like to see Bevell get pulled away from Seattle to be if not the new Head Coach at least the play calling OC. I think he could do wonders with Rodgers and this offense.

But even with two of the best RBs in recent NFL history, Bevell's offenses haven't seem to be that good, and I disliked a lot of his tricky stuff with Harvin, because if a defense could cover it, then they'd completely shut it down and they would keep going back to it and completely failing.

Conflicted because this guy says a Coach wants out, then says he's not into breaking news and then has a hard stance on teams privacy. Granted, he didn't name the coach so no one knows who he's talking about but just seems kind of hypocritical.

Also to be detailed, he said he's heard that a coach wants out... which in theory could be just hearsay and not factual. I still believe he was talking either about one of the coaches which already had public rumors about them wanting out (Saints, Cardinals, etc) or talking about Colts head coach, who a number of people have thought could be a fired coach at the end of the season... especially with their new GM in place now.

I seriously doubt that McCarthy wants out of Green Bay and truthfully I would like to see him stay through the balance of Aaron Rodgers career.
I would, however, like to see Thompson and Capers and possibly Zuck gone.

If I was McCarthy I'd want to stay in GB as long as Rodgers is a MVP caliber quarterback, when that's gone get the hell out of dodge. Eventually the Packers will need a rebuild unless they strike gold a 3rd time in a row with another franchise QB. Whoever is here during the rebuild will take alot of ire from a fanbase who hasn't experienced much turmoil in a long long time. I doubt McCarthy or Thompson will stick around for that.

The above will not reveal who but not a stretch he's referring to Mike McCarthy considering he covers the Bears.

Mike McCarthy seemed to be at odds with Ted a few offseasons ago. This makes sense to me.

Working for a guy like Ted wouldn't be something I could do.

That’s too bad because McCarthy needs to go. Time for a new direction. I have no confidence in this coaching team. McCarthy is so blind to his terrible defense that he needs to go too.

See it absolutely has nothing to do with Mike McCarthy! It was pretty clear from the start.

beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired

Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
