The college basketball conference tourneys have begun and if the big dance is anything like the tourneys so far it will be a blast to watch. Big 12 conference had there #1 and 2 teams eliminated and then what can you say about the Big East. Marquette almost pulled off a win but lost at the buzzer, Pittsburgh got their butts handed to them by West Virginia and then of course the instant classic. I watched the 2nd half and the 6 ots. Talk about an exciting game, UConn ranked #2 in the country playing a Syracuse team that played the night before.

UConn tied the game with 2.3 seconds to go in regulation and then Syracuse hit what seemed like a buzzer beater but after review the refs waved it off. Then for the next 5 yes i said 5 overtimes Syracuse had to fight back and tie UConn. Syracuse never lead in any of the first 5 OT. In the final OT Syracuse outlasted UConn for the win. Between the 2 teams they each had 4 starters foul out and had players playing that played for a total of 21 minutes the whole season. If you get a chance watch the replay if you want to see what March Madness is all about.

How is this for a player giving his all. Syracuse point guard Jonny Flynn played 67 minutes in this game, that after playing 35 minutes the night before. Like i said it was a great game heres a link for more on it.

That was crazy. All those top teams going down. I'm going to have to be very, very careful with who I pick in this tourney.

I always love the contests out there offering millions of bucks for "The Perfect Bracket". If someone were ever damn lucky enough to get that, I would kiss their feet and then take them to Vegas with me before their luck ran out. The fun of March Madness is just beginning, kiddies!

Oh yeah - and GO BADGERS!

I flicked on the game with 1:49 to go in regulation.. thinking.. I will catch a great ending... then with 1.1 to go.. I thought.. damn that was awesome..

Overturned, properly..

Stayed up til the end.. what a freaking awesome game.

Probably the best overall game I have watched... little sloppy in the overtimes in terms of execution, but from drama.. bar none that was the best I have seen. Period.

Flynn might have some limitations shooting the jumper.. but damn that kid has heart.. him and his high school teammate Harris just wouldn't quit.

I haven't seen but a few moments of any tourney games.. It's kinda hard when you don't have cable. But I follow them at ESPN.com and such.

I'd be cheering for the Gophers, but they lost a tough one to Michigan State today. So here's to hoping they get a bid in the NCAA tourney.

Wow those kids from Syracuse are really impressing me. They played the awesome 6OT game and had to turn around less than 24 hrs later and play West Virginia and guess what they went into OT again and won again. Just how long can these kids hold up, but like i said i am very impressed with Flynn he played every single minute in the game last night.

March Madness in Missoula means Lady Griz womens basketball. They are exciting and have won the Big Sky Championship more times than I can count. My wife and I have season tickets to the Lady Griz games and have spent the past 3 days camped at the Adams Center Fieldhouse watching basketball. The tournament championship game is today.....Montana vs. Portland State.

My wife is absolutely nuts about basketball and she was definitely in form last night when the Griz played Idaho State in the semi-finals. Griz won 72-60. She even was nuts in the first game when Portland State played Montana State. She wanted Montana State to win and was about ready to go out on the court and punch some lights out when Montana State lost.

So......in one hour we head back for another fun night of NCAA Womens basketball and the better half putting more bruises on my left side as she punches me out instead of the refs. (maybe I should switch seats with her so it evens out my bruises.) Even if they lose...hey...a 27-4 season isn't to shabby.

Good luck to your team Bob.

I don't know about anything else but after watching sportscenter and seeing both college basketbal and NBA highlights it just makes me sick on how much the NBA game actually sucks now. I mean they try and make Kobe and LBJ out to be as good as Michael and in my eyes that will never happen. I wonder how the babies of the NBA now would hold up in the NBA of the late 80's. Everytime you turn around you see Kobe and James not even get touched but a foul is called or they are begging for one. What would they have done if they had to go up against the Detroit Bad Boys and the Jordan rules. (for you folks that don't know what those are let me explain.) Jordan rules were when he came in the lane the Piston big men would hit Jordan as hard as they could and guess what it would be just a foul. You try that now and its a flagrant foul and if you do it twice your ejected. The NBA are making the game a joke, I remember playing on the playground and it was no harm no foul.

Heres a good video showing the Jordan rules, after watching it think how that would go in the NBA today.

Now you want to see fun basketball watch a big east or big 10 game the refs let those guys play and the players expect it to be physical and don't whine about it.

The NBA is going as far as changing rules for the star players check this out

In response to increased scrutiny in recent years, the NBA is examining rewriting its traveling rules as soon as next season. It may include allowing for two steps, not one as currently written, and possibly even a provision for LeBron James' famous, or infamous, depending on your perspective, crab-dribble move.

Head of officials Joe Borgia recently asserted that because "the game has evolved," the rule should, too. There's a certain logic to that; when Borgia says, "I don't think the rule has evolved since the time of Bob Cousy," you start to think about how different things are now, and realize how ridiculous it would've been for Cousy to play with 1925 rules. But isn't this just making it easier for offensive players to score? You could apply the same shaky logic to, say, the hand-check rules. It's evolution, but not progress.

So i will miss the college game after the tourney.

Zero2Cool (17h) : New Pope: 2 days | Shedeur Sanders: 3 days
Zero2Cool (18h) : Collin Whitchurch @cowhitchurch · 1h Chicago got a pope before it got a QB to throw for 4,000 yards in a season.
Mucky Tundra (18h) : New Pope from Chicago; in other words, the city produced a Pope before a 4000 yard passer

Zero2Cool (7-May) : beast, you're just one R from being voluptuous.

Zero2Cool (7-May) : You saw me Tweet???

dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Matthew Golden spoke with Randall Cobb before draft. Looked like chance encounter.

Zero2Cool (1-May) : Unlikely.
dfosterf (30-Apr) : How long until Jeff Sperbeck's family sues John Elway ?
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : Packers are exercising the fifth-year option on DT Devonte Wyatt, locking in a guaranteed $12.9M for the 2026 season.

dfosterf (30-Apr) : Luke Elzinga Punter Oklahoma stil unsigned. Green Bay has been mentioned as good fit

beast (27-Apr) : Thank goodness he's not leaving the Turtle in the Red Tide
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : that contained all prospects info and contact
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : beast, according the Falcons statement Jax came across it on an ipad. If I had to guess, probably an open spread sheet or something
Zero2Cool (27-Apr) : Simmons put up an emoji with cheese.
