The bell tolls for thee, Cleveland Browns.

4 PM today---deadline.

Some quality football players could possibly, ( and it is remote, ) hit the market TODAY, and if not, the Browns are in a bit of cap HELL.

It's Bonus Time in Cleveland!

Wouldn't it be ironic if Williams were to end up back here.. that is if they cut him to save cash?

I personally would love Williams to don the Green and Gold again..

BTW.. Kevin Shaffer would be a hell of an add to the Packers.. solid "blue collar" type player..

It is absolutely the first thought that occurred to me. The second one was what kind of debate would be spawned as to what he is worth to us.

That would be like a free 2nd round pick. He would be quite an upgrade, seeing that he's one of the few strong points of that defense, at DE.

That said, if Ted Thompson still has trust in Justin, I doubt this'll happen. We'll have Cullen Jenkins, Justin Harrell and Johnny Jolly at DE. That'd be an expensive 3rd stringer or a pissed off Jolly as 3rd stringer and who as our 2nd/Starters?

Do we have faith in Harrell though? Or will he help an old lady across the street after winning in game 5 and stub his toe and end up back on IR?

Williams is a proven commodity with our old system, but our old system is gone. I'm kind of mixed on this. Loved watching him when he was here, but not sure if he'll be as productive with us now that we're 3-4 with a completely different scheme, different DC, etc. But I'd love to have him for depth alone because history will probably repeat itself with Harrell so we could use the depth.

No way Williams comes back here, or even leaves Cleveland. They'll cut Lewis and Stallworth, probably, actually I'm sure they'll cut Stallworth.

What they're not going to do is get rid of anyone in that front seven, unless Mangenius dislikes someone for some reason.

I'm going to say the probability of Williams leaving Cleveland is <20%, and even if that happens, I'd put the probability of him returning to GB at less than 5%.

Do we as in Packerland in general? Obviously, no. Does Thompson? Unless they're just trying really hard to drum up some trade value, it would appear that he does. Thus endeth the debate.

Nice call Clayton. Upon further review....Ha ha ha ha ha...well, you get my meaning:

Annual free agency winner/loser bullshit; last year

Hey Cleveland, ask your GM and coach how that 4-12 season worked for ya after spending your foreseeable viability to make your "run". Oh, that's right, you have no one to ask, they all got fired.

I knew the situation was bad in Cleveland for this year, but $12M in bonuses paid out to Rodgers and Williams yesterday? That burns!

They're in deep shit. They better hope someone wants to trade on draft day.

also - ILikeThePackers, Mangenius is not the preferred nomenclature; "Mangina", please.

plus, the Browns aren't doing any better this season. They must have a very creative accountant. keep doing the smart thing, Cleveland, and continue to push that salary cap figure to next year. stupid.
