If you looked at my twitter timeline, you would see how ecstatic I was we drafted Aaron Jones. He was the only pick that got me fired up.
As much as I love Jones, and I do love him, I'm curious to see what he can do vs. a very good run defense. Dallas is abysmal, and NO is not traditionally known as one of the better run defenses. He was stymied in Minnesota.
He was a preemptive add to my fantasy team a few minutes before KO to the Bears game. He will face some tough challenges especially at the end with the Cle, Car, Min stretch during the fantasy playoffs. Yes, FF, who cares? However, I cite it to speak to my own perceptions of him as a guy who loved him from moment one. My expectations are high but tempered due to lack of data vs. better run teams. With Aaron I think he would be in far better position to succeed so judging on Hundley at QB might not be exactly fair to him, either.
One thing that has disappointed some is his pass game feel and usage. He hasn't looked very good in that regard and I expected him to really make hey in that regard. Doesn't appear as natural and instinctive there as I thought. Perhaps, he grows but for now he seems to be more singular dimensional.
If Aaron is back and Aaron again, we have found ourselves a stud RB.
Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
