Aaron Jones 17 for 131 with long of 46 and TD. Give me that stat line from the running game any week. What I really enjoyed about it was that there was very little running outside, it was mostly straight forward. Oline was blocking on the defensive side of the ball unlike when we are constantly running the outside stretch zones. Reminded me back to the days of Edgar Bennett and Dorsey Levens.

Besides the great day for Jones, I think Bulaga had a very good game run blocking. He was consistently getting to the LBers and blocking 3-4 yards on the defensive side of the ball. Hoping this was not just a product of a wet field and that McCarthy throws the rest of the outside zone plays away and keeps them blocking like this. Get Lane Taylor back and it should only improve, I feel Taylor is much better suited for this more smashmouth blocking rather than the finesse of the outside zone.

this blocking and running style will also make the play action so much more effective for Hundley to try and capitalize on.

Indeed. Also a big part of why I hope McCarthy lets Hundley throw the ball downfield, and that he actually does - If there's two games in a row where it's obvious we're not going to try to throw downfield, it's going to be extremely tough sledding on the ground with defenses selling out.

Jones looked great. The only offensive bright spot.

Any NFL Team that fields a "ONE" Dimensional Offense is just destined to fail . Unless Hundley can step up the passing game , teams will load up the box on the Packer's runners . It's just that simple .
