After only three games, here's how it looks from Jared Cook and Martellus Bennett. What we don't see in the numbers is the blocking Bennett is doing and I think that would sway Bennett > Cook.

Bennett also hasn't fully clicked yet with the offense - not that it's a guarantee that he will, but it's a decent bet that he will. Will be interesting to see what his ceiling in GB will be.

I don't think the Redskins, Jets and Titans field the same level of defense as Seattle, Atlanta and Cincinatti either. Will be interesting to revisit this after a bigger sample. Cook is also the 2nd most targeted on Oak, where Bennett is the 4th on the Packers.

I think part of it is Aaron isn't looking to throw short. He's locking onto guys and holding the ball, trying to go deep.

Another thing is, Marty has been helping out these scrub tackles on the LoS. Very good blocker.

Good point... but it still doesn't help the drops, which we've seen go to Bennett, when he wasn't blocking. I think he's just in a mental funk.

Maybe seeing his brother get arrested got to him or something... or maybe he just needs to get more comfortable in this offense yet or Rodgers throws the ball differently?

ALSO we know Brady likes to deflate his ball as much as possible and Rodgers like to inflate his ball as much as possible. A more inflated ball makes it harder, which makes it harder to catch.

But it could be a lot of different things.

I will accept the ball inflation/deflation factor but I can't imagine he is thinking about his brother during a game. Especially a game where they don't face one another. Before or after the game perhaps but not during.

Perhaps all this protest stuff is distracting him. He seems awfully worked up about it on Twitter.

Some guys Sunday morning can catch their wife in bed with a teammate and have no problem focusing on the game. Others, not so much.

Marty is a pretty emotional dude and his brother was not arrested; he had mouth-foaming nutjob cop with a gun to his head, threatening to blow it off. If the cop was bumped or startled or just accidentally put too much pressure on he trigger, POW, Bennett is brotherless. what did this do to Marty's mom?

Many folks just don't get this; because it does not affect you. You need to stop and think of all the people you know, friends, uncles cousins, old classmates/work colleagues you haven't talked in a while, etc. If you're Black you have been told 20, maybe 50 stories of various degrees of bullshit the cops have foisted on the story tellers. You probably have a few stories of your own. You have a few White friends and they look at you like you're an idiot when you tell them you get pulled over 1-2x per year by cops and not issued tickets or got a ticket for going 57 in a 55. But, finally, the Rodney King's criminal beating is caught on tape, finally some justice, finally some change...NOPE! Now video after video surfaces, story after story gets attention; finally some justice...right? Nope!

The President says its okay for cops to be brutal and a bunch of cops clap and laugh. You suffer from PTSD, whether you know it or not. Then your close brother is a millimeter away from execution and you protest. Then the PRESIDENT, not some talk show host or ESPN announcer, the the PRESIDENT says that your mother is a bitch and you are the offspring of that bitch. POTUS degrades NFL protestor; but not Nazis, KKKs or White Supremacists. You interpret this as Trump dog-whistling his base that its open season.

Bennett has unbelievable hands; his drops are 100% a function of him not being able to play without thinking. Now probably part of his problem is he's not 100% in tune with the post snap reads, this is the hardest stuff; but I would be a little surprised if his brother's near execution and a President calling his mom a whore, isn't also playing a role as well.
