Didn't we waste a time out on the very first play, on defense? Shit like that doesn't help.

The more comments I read here saying something or someone is stupid, the more I just want to start deleting posts. Why can't we show our passion like mature adults when online? What is so hard about that? What is so challenging about not making ourselves look like douchebags?

I wish I had more time to fix this issue because I don't even like reading the BS on this site anymore. It's come down to name calling and finger pointing.

You who do this, sicken me.

Mike McCarthy is a genius, said it a million times; but the person describing MMs TOs in Seattle as "aggressive" is severely misinformed [wouldn't call it stupid] or misrepresenting the facts. There simply was no viable outcome that could benefit GB; the move could ONLY harm GB's chance to win. So it is inaccurate to describe it as ill-advised, imprudent, reckless, rash. "Stupid" is exactly what it is.

Cheesehead TV did an article showing that MM's 1st half TO calling has GB behind in points 51-29. Not sure how accurate this was; but Mike McCarthy is standing defiant against reason on this subject. BTW, the fans can actually fix this. If he gets enough criticism; he will be better prepared to manage the last 1-2 minutes of the half.

On your ability to read "BS." The key is having RESPECT for your fellow man. And the standard for respect is not measured when there is agreement. It is not disrespectful or name-calling to describe something Mike McCarthy did as "stupid" when it was and the argument for "stupid" is supported. A good parent might discourage its use, because kids cant process things like adults. People come to a forum like this with various depths of vocabulary, various written communication skills, various intelligence levels and ways they express a point. If there's respect, people will have empathy and take time to try to understand what someone is saying, even if they find it expressed differently than the way they'd express it. They'll respond TO THE ARGUMENT honestly, without agenda and without the use of logical fallacies, which includes various forms of name-calling and ad hominems.

My dad repeatedly drummed in my head to respect EVERYONE; that EVERYONE and the things they say is valuable. And that people have different ideas and that I can learn several things from each of the supposed dumbest people. In other words, on some issues I am dumber than the dumbest people in the world.

With all this in mind; I'd say if you can argue that MM's TO decision is defensible or even unwise and calling it "stupid" is inappropriate; then make your argument. Until them, describing my careful and scholarly use of the word "stupid" as BS w/o support is...well, its the BS you seem to be railing against.

Maybe Mike's using that time out thing to try to motivate his guys.

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. He is to conservative, he isn't conservative enough.

He use of the time outs in that situation was exactly the right call. Just didn't work. You have your opponent backed up, forcing Seattle to run the plays, not only gives the chance of getting the ball back with a chance at a hail mary or Fair Catch Kick. Every snap of the ball is a chance for a mistake. A botched snap, or hand-off creating a fumble. Bad snap on a punt ending up in the endzone for what could be a safety or Special Teams recovery for a TD or maybe a blocked punt.

The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
