Many in the Media have said that the game between Green Bay and Seattle will ultimately determine who will have the NFC's #1 seed and Home-field advantage in the playoffs . If both teams finish with the same record , this head-to-head contest will serve to break the tie. It may only be week one, but this game carries the consequences that will play a role in this seasons playoffs. I don't want to see the Packers playing in the NFC Championship game in Seattle , but rather at Lambeau Field .

Talk of fighting for the #1 seed during week 1 sounds like the media is spinning to get views for the game or their websites.

I really have no feel how good this team is going to be this season. My concerns are mostly focuses on the O-line, LB and secondary. The last two issues are the usual suspects under Capers. Seahawks are a tough team to start the season, especially with Mcarthy's record of having this team slow out of the gate.

GO Pack!

So nice to have a game that has any consequences. It has been a long offseason 😁

I mean it could... but it's also possible that one of the other 14 teams could win it, which has happened the last two years as neither of these teams finished in the two 2 in the NFC.

I've been most considered with the OLs lack of success run blocking (except against Broncos who were missing two DL starters)... Rodgers is amazing, but you got to mix it up some.... though I'm pretty sure 🇲🇲 has some secret plan ... as the Packers sideline interviewer basically said to Monty, that 🇲🇲 is being pretty open about the team to us, but he's being quiet about how he's going to use you in the game plans.

Especially with Rodgers talking about how Rip could run it more this season... at some point this season, I'm expecting to see them line up with a Monty, Rip and a TE or two... set up in a run look, and then flank everyone out, to where Monty is a WR and Rip is the only RB in the backfield.

The LBers normally start out good, until injuries hit.... I'm not as worried about them... but of course you have to be a bit concerned with the DBs, especially when teams have very so many different weapon choices... including TE Jimmy Graham, who some are saying is finally getting comfortable in the Seahawks system (which was different than the Saints system), and Graham makes Michael Clark look small (weight wise, but also 5/8ths of an inch taller).

Seahawks are overrated. Their Oline is abysmal. Week two is the big matchup. We play Atlanta on turf too, Bulaga is helped by the slower natural surface of Lambeau.

I'm frequently wow'ed by the supposedly highly knowledgeable posters that can't see past the Offensive portion of a team / game . Yes the offenses are sexy and score the points , but if your not even posting about the Defenses , then your ignoring a huge part of the game.

Seattle's Defense is one of the leagues top 5 rated squads in the league . They will not prevent GB's Offense from scoring , but may just limit it enough for their Offense to score more points against GB's low ranking Defense.

Both are very good Teams and both are expected to finish the season with a close or even the same overall league W/L record. If both teams finish the season tied with the best NFC records , then the week 1 winner will break the tie. I'd like GB to come out on top . How about you ?

We beat them last year, but we got MANY "lucky bounces" in that game. You can't count on that happening again.
Our defense needs to hang tough and show great improvement from last year.

Man, talking number 1 seed before week 1 is a bit extreme. I wouldn't be surprised if we miss the playoffs this year. The way I see it we've been on the decline ever since 2011 and nothing's really improved teamwise. Only reason we made it last year and all the previous years is because arod is by far the best individual player in the league and we have such a weak division.
