Kapernick couldn't beat out Blaine Gabbert.

I said Kaepernick is better than 90% of the retread career backup qbs who seem to hang around the league for years after you thought they stopped playing. He's obviously not better than 90% of starting Qbs or even many of the younger up and comers. For example Kaepernick may very well be better than Hundley this season but Hundley's future is obviously brighter.

I mean if I need to I could go through all the teams and probably pick out 15 guys who will be on a 53 this year that are no better than Kaepernick and likely worse. That sounds like alot of work just to defend my position but check it out for yourself. Scott Tolzien is still in the league. Kellen Moore, Sean Mannion, Ryan Griffin, none of these guys will ever win a playoff game but they'll be on a roster.

There is plenty of film on his inaccuracy and lack of touch. and being a backup has a lot more to do than being able to throw and run. Backups have a lot of duties behind the scenes people don't think about. and being in the media isn't one of them.

He may very well be better than Hundley? more likely not. He might be better than Callahan.

There's plenty of evidence of them being terrible inaccurate QBs and there is a lot more evidence of Kaepernick playing well. I don't know how he is with other back up duties but I've never heard any problems with him as far as locker rooms and he's won starting jobs after being back up in week 1 twice now so I can only assume he's not bad there.

When someone goes personal, it shows they are wrong and they know it.

It's really simple. Kapernick the QB is NOT worth the distraction. If he was, he would have been signed already. This isn't that complicated.

Robert Griffin III should have knelt too, maybe people would be up in arms on his behalf too.

I might take what he is trying to "protest" about more seriously had he not wore the "pig" socks or wore that Castro shirt.
Cops are not "pigs". They are hard working human beings that are doing a mostly thankless job. Given no respect, while putting their lives on the line for people that call them "pigs" and murderers.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
