General manager Ted Thompson doesn't have to cut his roster to 53 for another few weeks, and a lot can and almost certainly will happen between now and then. But if he had to make his decisions today, here's the way things might look: QUARTERBACKS (2) — AARON RODGERS and BRETT HUNDLEY

Well I don't have to update my latest mock draft, because Rodney has basically done it for me.

Though I'd release ILB Tripp for another OLB (Biegel, Gilbert or Calvin)

And think hard about cutting the 7th WR for the 3rd QB...

But this mock seems to be implying
Biegel and Goodson are on the PUP
and Adams and Dupre are on the IR.

How shocked would you be if we cut Ripkowski to just keep Kerridge and keep another WR or RB on the team, for example?

I still think only 1 rookie Rb makes the final 53.
2 will go to PS.
That would open a spot for 3rd QB, or another olb.

I just think there is another position player who would be more valuable than a 5th rb, at the beginning of the season.
Still early.

Last 2 guys on the DB list: LENZY PIPKINS and MARWIN EVANS

CB Pipkins is a undrafted rookie, whom a number of people said looked like the Packers best of the young undrafted CBs vs the Eagles... I've heard he's been playing in the nickel spot a lot.

S Evans was on the team last year, and most likely will be making the team as the 5th S because Burnett and Jones are working a lot at ILB and probably taking an ILB spot... Evans might be the best form tackler on the team and a good ST player, needed to improve his coverage last year, and it has improved some, still waiting to see how much.

Lots of DBs and RBs. Last year we kept 7WRs only because Ty was our 3rd RB.

Nelson, Adams, Davis, Yancey, maybe Cobb.

Michael Clark over Richard Rodgers.

I know it's a numbers game a lot of the time but I'd really like to see them keep Tripp. He's a real solid player and definitely makes a difference on special teams. It'll be tough for him to make it with Joe Thomas continuing to make plays and Ryan and Martinez are our steady and improving draft picks. Time will tell.

beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
