So the Packers might be carrying 7 WRs on the roster in week one... with one of them on the suspended list, and 6 on the 53 man roster.

Might work out well for the Packers, while the rest of the teams are filling their rosters/practice squads before week 1 the Pack can stash him on the roster without taking up a spot. He might have a better chance of sneaking by on waivers this way.

If the Packers are keeping Guion, I'm wondering when they're going to get around to determining his Hawaii DUI suspension, and how long it might be. It would suck to make room for him on the 53, just to put him on the suspension list later in the season.

Correct me if I'm wrong,
I don't think any suspended player counts against the 53 man roster until the suspension is up.
When over then the team must make a rostet move or release the player.

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

I looked this up after Guion got his dui and yes suspended players do not count towards the 53. We don't owe Guion or Allison any money either until the suspension is over so I'm not seeing any necessity in making a decision on them until then. If injuries strike at WR/DL they're nice insurance policies to have.

Guion already is suspended to start the season. Before his DUI. Allison won't make it to the PS.

You are both correct on Guion, but my concern was that his four game suspension would be up, and then the Packers are going to have to decide if they want him on the 53 man roster or not... without knowing what his punishment for the Hawaii DUI will be.

After Guion's suspension is up... it would suck to release another player, making room for Guion... just for Guion to get another 4+ game suspension during the season.
