Last month we went to the local outdoor theatre. It's really nice there, and it's like taking a trip back in time. They have the speakers you put on your window and all. (They also have the sound playing through an FM station, if you don't want to go that far back in time.)
Anyway, we got there early, well before dark so that we would get a parking spot right in front.
I went to the snack bar to get some popcorn, and as I was going back out the snack bar door, a young woman was coming in. She held the door for me, and as I looked out, there it was.......a Oscar Mayer Wienermobile! I was caught off guard, and paused in the doorway and said to the girl "That's something you don't see every day!" She said "Well I do! I'm one of the five drivers of it! Would you like to see the inside of it?" Of course I said YES! So I took the popcorn to the car, and went back. The girl explained that this was their last day with it, as their year was up, and they wanted to go out in style by going to an outdoor theatre with it. In fact, a second wienermobile was going to join them there (which it did, just after dark). There were 5 young ladies that drove it all over the country during the past year.
So, we went inside, and then she asked me if I wanted my picture taken sitting on top of it. So she opened the sunroof, and I climbed out on top of the thing! The wienermobile is one REALLY huge vehicle! But it was a pretty neat thing to see, especially when you were not expecting it.
