Henry was diagnosed with leukemia in December. Former Green Bay Packers tight end Mitchell Henry has passed away following a battle with leukemia per a statement from his mother released through their church. He was 24 years old.
Henry was signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2015 before being released by the team that summer during the final roster cuts. Henry briefly joined the Denver Broncos before returning to Green Bay as a practice squad member in October 2015. He was waved on an injury settlement in September of last years Henry then joined the Baltimore Ravens practice squad on November 7 before being released three days later.
Henry was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in December and experienced recent setbacks that ultimately cost Henry his life.
