As the Packers added new players during the draft, they also looked to unload one of their current players. Green Bay was shopping backup quarterback Brett Hundley and came close to making a deal on the second day of the draft, ESPN reports. There's no word on which teams the Packers talked to or what...

Ted will get a great deal more for him if he waits.

I am not close to being the most knowledgeable football mind here on Packershome.

However I am positive there is a substantially increased trade value for an understudy of Brady or Aaron , then there is for an understudy of... say Blaine Gabbert

I'm glad Ted didn't blink, if Hundley stays healthy and shows that rookie flash again he likely will net us a 2nd/3rd round pick next offseason. Also would be great to be able to rest Rodgers a little bit this year to keep him healthy for the playoffs, seems most years Rodgers is hobbling around come post-season time. Having a backup who can come in for a few starts a year and win games shouldn't be understated.

Well everybody was hobbled last year. Early byes are rough. Going 6-0 to end the season was epic though. They just ran out of juice.

I really doubt it was very close. Ted is going to field just about any call but I don't think it was any where near him openly trying to move him.

Just like everyone expected some team to give up the world for Garoppolo and it didn't happen, I think these unproven understudies are far more valued by their teams and their fans than they are by the rest of the league.
