Packers claim DT Ego Ferguson off waivers

The Bears waived 2014 second-round pick Ego Ferguson last week and Ferguson may have a couple of chances to show the team they made a mistake during the 2017 season. I was a little surprised to hear the Bears waived him but I understand why. Even though he wasn't a perfect fit in the defense it sounds like injuries may have prevented him from really getting a chance to adjust. If he can stay healthy who knows. I'm not really excited about the signing but it would seem to be little risk involved in taking a look see so I'm fine with it. The more guys to compete the better.
