They just push all their risk into the future. It's a big reason they had 40m dead money last year and almost 20m this year. They keep trying to "win now" with an entire roster that should have been re-built a couple years ago. They completely screwed themselves out of the last bit of a hall of fame QB career. That's the thing if you want to go big like that you have to own it if it fails, not get more desperate.
