MM also said they fell short of their goal. Watch his presser, he discussed a video they made for camp that had a countdown to the Super Bowl. Mike McCarthy made it clear that the goal each year is the SB. Saying you've had success, doesn't mean the organization isn't diligently pursuing the ultimate goal.

As for Dom comments, again, watch the presser. He dodged the question initially, then came back to it. He said he hasn't gotten to his staff evaluations yet, so why would he throw Dom under the bus?

Understood on the PC thing but is it really PC in this case? History shows it's more likely to be what he truly thinks than PC.

We all know he's not going to throw Dom or anyone other than reporters with logical questions under the bus. He was asking why anyone would question that this was a successful season because many are questioning it and he needs the narrative on him doing a wonderful job. So, when he makes excuses for Dom and praises him that's what he wants for himself. He wants people to say his team was so shorthanded and look what he did. When he shouts down the reality his narrative becomes the reality for some.

The Head Coach saying he's a highly successful coach. Not good.
The Head Coach saying the season was successful. Bad.

Fans should see the season as successful, absolutely. The staff and players --- I would like to see the hungry in their tone when saying "we didn't win the ring, back to the grind" type of things.

Some think winning the Super Bowl is easy as signing free agents, they are wrong. Winning the Super Bowl is insanely difficult and you have to be RELENTLESS to win it. It seems like the staff is ho-hum with their defeat where I think they should be pissed off. Maybe they are and just hiding it?

We don't know much about the injuries (Adams '15, I assume Randall in '16 and many other examples) or the good or bad (Sitton) behind closed doors. Nor do we see the hours of practice or work in the weight room.

I'm not trying to be a Green 'n Gold apologist, just saying I think there are indications of higher expectations even if people aren't called out publicly or booted as quickly as fans would like.

Dom returning is an affront to Packers nation. Ted returning is also an affront. The buddy club remains intact. Don't ya just love all this precious continuity that leads to playoff failure year in and year out? I know I do.

Cutting Whitehead and Jeremy Ross means what? We'll cut fringe roster players? Big deal. That is not anything at all. This team is anemic when it comes to understanding intangibles. This org craves the continuity that has created complacency. Some here act like the fact MM said the goal is the SB means we have the right people here to do it and you can point to actions that justify the statement. Neither are true. Every team has the goal of winning the Super Bowl. I have the goal of living to see tomorrow. It's implied. If Ted can't feel the dearth of momentum this club has for 2017 and does his usual Maytag repairman act, it's just unconscionable.

I'll be the loudest cheerleader IF something big and needed happens this off season. Until then, I'll continue speaking to glaring issues that have been present for years that some are finally beginning to see.
