Oh, so wrong. I thought a perfect season hinged on game at Denver. I said this before the season.

I did say 8-8 for this year was a dream. Aaron awoke from his coma and I'm bummed it'll take 10 years for a book to come out explaining why/how.

As to the topic, I agree. It is fun watching some not understanding nuance and trying to equate apples to oranges. Mike McCarthy is DiMM. I've always maintained I wanted more intelligence from the HC position.

Running horse and Kerridge was senseless. Watching it spun into we don't know what thinking went into that decision IS the point here. Idiotic doesn't begin to cover it.

I'm glad Coughlin is gone. Perhaps, Mike McCarthy has just enough to outlast his porn stached protege on Sunday.

Oh. It's after the season. It's why they call it the post-season. Can't wait to read about what a great season it was at the point we're eliminated. We were favored to win every game before the season. 10-6 is a dismal failure but we did beat 5 bad teams and one horrible road team so I understand the enthusiasm. Nothing changes.

Your failure to predict the season win total is only surpassed by your failure attack those you called dreamers...the reality is those dreamers where the ones living in reality as they were right the Packers would make the playoffs once again...and the reality is that you are the one living in a fantasy world of your own lies. Simply put, your doom "reality" failed (again)... that's because you fail to live in the real reality.

And no book needed... Lindsey is the glue making the OL calls work as one and Rodgers said the main difference between then and now is having a healthy Jared Cook.

As for the season being a dismal failure. That's just spite, blind spite speaking. You know it too. 10 teams had 10 or more wins in a 32 team league.

Useless fact: The Packers six game winning streak was more than the Jets, Chargers, Rams, Bears, Jaguars, 49ers and Browns won the entire season.

I wish the Packers would win the Super Bowl every year so people wouldn't constantly complain about this team being a failure.

Then again if they're not also racking up perfect seasons with shutouts in every game some people would still complain.

For one, preseason predictions grossly underestimated the strength of Green Bay's schedule, particularly the strength of the NFC East. Don't think anyone had Dallas and Atlanta as the one and two seeds when the season started. Green Bay was supposed to have one of the easiest schedules. Instead, through week 16, we had the toughest strength of schedule of any NFC team that made the playoffs. We only played four games against teams with a losing record.

It also doesn't reference the odds. A team could be given a 51% chance to win each game they play. They'd be favored to win every game but their expected win total would only be 8.16. I'd imagine Green Bay was probably predicted to win 11 or 12 games going in to the season. Our schedule was tougher than expected and we played shit football in the middle of the season. We recovered nicely though.

How many wins would it take for the Packers to have a successful season? ONE. The SUPER BOWL as they were favored heading into this year just as they were favored to WIN EVERY GAME HEADED INTO THE SEASON. You can't rewrite history and say due to the putrid play they weren't favored against certain teams. This was the team to beat for the SB favored to win them all before the season and they start 4-6 and happen to beat 5 terrible teams and a road poor Seattle team and now, again, we're the team to beat?

BTW, I wasn't alone...EVERYONE was thinking this team was toast even the eternal optimists were down. I wanted this team to continue sliding so we could get regime change which is needed to win here. I know you think a true fan wants division championships and perpetual failure in the playoffs and a horrible defense year after year but I don't.

This D should be called TOASTED CHEESE...it's among the worst I've ever seen defending the pass. Brings back fine memories of 2011. We may get lucky and have Eli be Eli and play poorly or he could be like he normally is in the post season and we're one and done. Next we'd get Dak most likely and he's never been in a playoff game and isn't some elite passer. We can handle Atlanta. Most of the D's were going to face are very beatable so who knows. The Giants D poses the biggest test or Seattle at Seattle which is a totally different team and game but there will be some who think we'll roll Seattle at Seattle because it happened at Lambeau. That's the apples oranges thing that is lost on some.

So in summation when you're favored to win the SB and you're favored in every game before the season starts and you start 4-6 and finish 10-6 you've greatly failed. This defense is as bad as ever. Can't imagine winning it all with the secondary we have.

Change is needed. I hope the Ted Thompson rumor is true. That would be one halleluYah. Hopefully, if Ted Thompson does step aside young Eliot or Brian would want their own HC and we can finally wave buh bye to our highly successful coach and great DC.

Personally, I think uffda is the same guy who'll credit Matthew Stafford for a plethora of 4th quarter comebacks, but then on the same principle discredit Mike McCarthy for winning six in a row to make the playoffs. Think about it. Packers were losing the season through 10 games and then come back and dominate to finish with a winning season and he's bashing McCarthy for at one point being 4 - 6.

Packers came back to DOMINATE? I didn't get that impression from the game at Chicago. It might be more fair to say the guy who carries us who failed to carry us woke up. Not MM...not anybody else save for Ty Montgomery. Davante for all his numbers still dropped huge passes that could've lost us games. That guy gets tons of opportunities just like last season. Glad he finally made something of all the love he gets this season. He is strong. I just don't want to see any critical pass headed his way in the playoffs. He can't be trusted. I'd trust Janis making a big play in crunch time over Adams and that's not hyperbole. Janis doesn't get it as a football player but the one thing he gets is showing up when it really really matters.

10-6 is a poor run of the mill season especially in light of the expectations. The Patriots started Jacoby Brissett and finished with a far better record than we did.

One of my favorite reads is the comparisons to 2010. We finished 10-6 then so it must mean SB, right? LOL. Yes, I don't seem to recall the 2010 defense being a thing like the one we've trotted out in 2016.

Aaron typically plays far below his regular season standards in the post season. If he falls back even a little with this defense we have it'll be over quick.

It is fair to bring up Shields departure. However, Randall and Rollins (2 more failed high Ted Thompson defensive draft picks) have been abysmal. Plus, Ted Thompson is the one who let Hayward walk where he had as many picks as our entire team or very close to it. The onus is on our GM...he let a CB walk who shined in SD and spent a first and second on two other CB's which gave him confidence to let Casey walk. That's THREE failed Ted Thompson moves that have greatly impacted our defense. No Hayward and living with Randall and Rollins.

Now, that it's too late to get Mike McCarthy out of here because he made the playoffs, again, let's win it all. I don't think we will but I certainly will be watching and hoping we do.
