I'm a little surprised that former Journal-Sentinel writer, Greg Bedard said the following. What do you think?

I made the pitch two years ago that after the Jets, Ryan should take a step back, learn from a more offensive-minded coach, and then give it another whack. No one listens to me. My dream team last time around stands. Mike McCarthy and the Packers (if Dom Capers retires or moves on) would be a perfect fit.

Mark Kriegel, an analyst for the NFL Network, found that between 2005 and 2012, during his tenure with both the Ravens and Jets, Ryan's defenses have never been ranked lower than sixth overall in the NFL and have allowed an average of 281 yards per game from scrimmage, second to Dick LeBeau's 277.4 yards per game. LeBeau is generally regarded as one of the best defensive coordinators in the history of the NFL.[118][119]

Wiki

Despite Ryan's ability to lead defenses, after 8 years as HC, there is no way he would jump at the first offer to move from HC to DC. If he takes a year maybe two off without an offer he would probably be humbled enough to do a good job. But in the first year he would be a head case.

IMO, either Ryan brother and Green Bay is a bad fit. It would result in a weekly drama filled soap opera. No right minded GM would court such disaster, even TT.

There's been reports over the last two years that Ryan is burned out and no longer the same motivator he was before. I think he'll take his personality to some analyst gig on fox/cbs and probably never coach again.

Given the same players, I don't think Ryan would get any better production. Much of the defensive success is because of the players he had which we would not be able to duplicate with being an offensive team.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
