Well Crap. What is wrong with this guy? It is frustrating when guys don't play up to their potential. It is maddening when they simply piss it away.



Pennel to serve second 4-game suspension 



I don't understand how he was able to get a 4 game suspension for a 2nd offense.

I'm not sure, but I read were one fan suggested it was because the NFL offered to drop it to only 4 games, if Pennel would drop his lawsuit against the NFL and NFLPA. I don't know if there is any truth to that or not.

I'm sure that the lawsuit has it's part in this drama, but the NFL must have hard evidence for this action .

According to the policy

First violation in stage 2 (if marijuana) = 2/17th fine.
2nd violation in stage 2 (if first was marijuana) = 4 weeks
3rd violation in stage 2 (if first was marijuana) = 6 weeks and Advancement to Stage 3.
or
First Violation in stage 2 (if not Marijuana) = 4 weeks.
2nd violation in stage 2 (if first was NOT marijuana) = 6 weeks and advancement to stage 3.

So I'm guessing that Pennels first violation was Marijuana, and he was suspended for 4 games rather than 2 game check fine he should have gotten. And then they tried to give him a bigger suspension this time so he filed a suit.
