Where does Lambeau rank for crowd noise?

30 seconds of intense googling got me a handful of copycat articles like this that rank us at #5 in the league:

I hate to say it but without numbers to back that up I can't help but think Lambeau ranks this high on reputation more than actually being that loud. At least, the two games I've been to in person I was pretty underwhelmed with the crowd noise. On televised games it is night and day when you see other games where the crowd is going berserk. It would be great to ratchet up the intensity this week and sustain it (yes, even when things aren't going the greatest) when the seahawks are in town.

I remember the most recent stadium renovations seemed like they would help trap crowd noise, did it?

I also remember discussion about how the geriatric portion of the season ticket holders aren't helping matters.

Does anybody know where to find reputable numbers?

Crowd noise has been an issue. The fans can make a lot more noise in Sept than they can in Dec. The remodeling project with the "Wall of Sound" has helped. There is a back wall to the newest addition which helps contain and throw the sound out toward the field. I am not sure GB is #5. They would have to fall behind every domed stadium, and the partial domes like the Cowboys and Seahawks have.

Where GB makes up ground is the size of the stadium. They have the third largest after NY and Washington. I am ignoring LA Coliseum.

I don't care what the rankings say, it's just not that loud at Lambeau. I've been to three games, including playoffs and have always been underwhelmed by the noise.

I don't necessarily feel it's a reflection of support or anything like that. Maybe it's the geriatrics. Maybe fans just like to enjoy watching the game rather than screaming. Maybe they're not drunk enough. I don't really know or care. Lambeau and Packer fans are many great things, being loud just doesn't happen to be one of them.

take off the gloves, mittens, full face ski caps. But I've been there for home openers and it's not that loud. Only things fans like to do is the wave and yell go pack go
