I want to start this off by being very clear.
Injuries are not an excuse, but I found it pretty fascinating that we are well into the second half of the season and we're seeing players that we haven't seen since the last exhibition game playing key roles.
Starting Base OffenseQB - Aaron Rodgers
RB - Eddie Lacy (5)
FB - Aaron Ripkowski
WR - Jordy Nelson
WR - Randall Cobb (1)
TE - Jared Cook (6)
LT - David Bakhtiari
LG - T.J. Lang (1)
C - JC Tretter (3)
RG - Lane Taylor
RT - Bryan Bulaga
RB James Starks (4) and WR Ty Montgomery (1) missed some time and they were expected to be big contributors on offense. The 3rd string RB, Don Jackson is also on IR and missed several games. We have RB John Crocket sitting on IR as well.
Starting Base DefenseDL - Mike Daniels
DL - Letroy Guion (1)
DL - Kenny Clark
LB - Clay Matthews (4)
LB - Julius Peppers
LB - Jake Ryan (1)
LB - Blake Martinez
CB - Sam Shields (9)
CB - Damarious Randall (6)
S - Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix
S - Morgan Burnett (1)
Add top backup CB Quentin Rollins (3) who still isn't recovered from his injury and then you have Demetri Goodson starting (who's now out for the season) that leaves with you guys like Josh Hawkins, Ladarius Gunter and Kentrell Brice playing. You know those guys from that aforementioned final exhibition game, lol.
