I'll take the job. I'll suck but it can't get too much worse, it's not like the team respects McCarthy and at most I'll make one or two more boneheaded moves per game than Mike McBlandy.

Which brings me to a more serious series of questions:
1. What record do you think the Packers will end up with this season under McCarthy?
2. What record do you think the Packers would have ended up with this season under Bill Bellicheck?
3. What record do you think the Packers would have ended up with this season with a random fan coaching the team?

My answers:
1. 8-8
2. 11-5
3. 5-11

Which essentially tells me that McCarthy is about halfway between the cream of the crop and as low as you can go.

As for a new Head Coach, I still say we swap coaches with Steelers. Both Mike McCarthy and Mike Tomlin are good coaches, but I think they've been tuned out by their respective teams.

As for Jim Harbaugh, he inherited a pretty stacked roster, especially on the defensive side of things. He did not pick out linebackers. He did not do the drafting, rather, most of the good to great players were there when he arrived due to high draft spot selections. That's not discrediting the talent, you have to still pick the right guy and still develop them, but giving Harbaugh so much credit is just wrong, flat out wrong. The roster you see now was mostly drafted under the reign of Harbaugh.
