I've heard a clown or two complain that the Packers haven't successfully addressed the Tight End position in getting us a TE similar or better than Jermichael Finley. I'm curious, how many TE's are similar to Finley? Hell, how many good TE's are in their in the NFL? And is it even reasonable to expect the Packers to have a revolving door of deep threat TE's as if we can create them in Madden?

I would think Jared Cook fits the Finley mold far closer than anyone they have drafted. And go figure, he gets a big booboo.

Quit personally attacking me, I'm sensitive dammit.

Signing a grade C classic underachiever is not addressing the TE position. That is all!

I didn't find JerMike all that "great". What he had was "great potential" but injuries in part kept him from achieving anything close to greatness.

He played 6 seasons. Missed most of the season twice. Of the remaining 4, he only had 74 yards his rookie season that's not great either.

That leaves 3 years. He had 55,55,61 receptions on 72,92,87 targets. That's okay but not great. Too many dropped passes. TDs were only 5,8,2. That's pretty weak.

Yes he could run the middle of the field and cause defenses some problems but so could Willy Gault and Renaldo Nehemiah.

Easier said than done. Hoping we have Cook back for the final stretch.

I see no one has answered how many TE's are comparable or better than Jermichael Finley. That is probably due to there not being 30+ TE's that are able to stretch the field and get the defenses attention by being a threat to catch the ball 70-80% of the time.

We all want All-Pro players at every position, but it is okay to be reasonable and understand that certain talent is not manufactured in abundance and there are slim pickings. This is the NFL, not Madden. We should accept that when we begin our complaining.

Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Martellus Bennett, Vernon Davis, Jordan Reed, Antonio Gates, Travis Kelce, Greg Olsen, Julius Thomas, Dwayne Allen, Delanie Walker, Hunter Henry, Tyler Eifert, Ladarius Green, Kyle Rudolph, Eric Ebron, Jason Witten, Zach Ertz, Jimmy Graham, Austin Sefarian-Jenkins.

Sorry, that's only 20 comparable.

But yes I get your point and I agree.

I wonder if Ted has a draft limit bias (value limit) for TEs. The lowest he has selected a TE is in the 3rd round twice with Finley and Rodgers.

Most of the value guys posted by blueleopard are first and second round guys.
