Look I am not saying Monty can’t carry the ball a few times. He may break off a big one. What I am saying is he and Cobb shouldn’t be counted on as the #2 RB behind Lacy.

We are a perennial playoff football, and our brain trust at 1265 Lombardi Ave keeps getting their hands slapped with their mistakes of leaving key positions of the team under filled. They don't deserve a lot of the accolades they receive. And we again are pissing away the career of a great quarterback by not going all in on Super Bowl runs.

The problem with WRs pretending to be RBs is they have to be fast enough to get outside but unless the D completely fails to have someone in contain the WR can't get outside far enough to use his speed. They certainly are not strong enough to run inside and break a couple of tackles.

Unless their name is Donald Driver. That was the thing that always impressed me the most about Driver: he refused to go down. He never stopped battling for that extra yard, especially if he needed a first down. And unlike so many receivers in this league, he almost never lost possession of the ball while fighting for those last few inches. Even more amazingly, he didn't get hurt either.

With Aaron looking so very very average the window is probably just about closed. They may still make the token postseason appearance but like these past few years they are not going to be taken very seriously. And those appearances will become fewer and years in the up coming years.

If Aaron continues to play at this level I think his chances of making the HoF will diminish.

Some may say I am spoiled but I look for excellence not try and justify one level of mediocrity is better than another.
