Anyone exhale reading that?

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Despite being on crutches and in a boot after Sunday's game, Jared Cook's right ankle injury is not expected to end his season.

Sources told ESPN that the Green Bay Packers tight end is expected to miss some time after this week's bye, but the team is still trying to determine whether Cook will miss only a game or multiple games.

Cook injured his right ankle in the second quarter of Sunday's 34-27 win over the Detroit Lions. He limped off the field after he dropped a deep pass and got tied up with Lions safety Rafael Bush. He was immediately taken to the locker room and did not return.

He should take it to Dr. Hou at Acupuncture and Herb Center on Military Ave. Lots of Packers used to go there. Dude does great work.

The dreaded "high ankle sprain."

pft

Although there’s been no official word from the team and the Packers are on their bye this week, a high ankle sprain usually takes several weeks to heal, so it’s unlikely that he’d be on the field when they return in Week Five against the Giants.

This will be something that affects him the whole season. If it starts to heal, one hit on it and it's back to square one.

Sit him for this home stand. Let's see how he looks in November.
