I was a staunch supporter of McCarthy up until the playoff loss to the Giants at Lambeau in 2011.
My support for him has continued to slip year after year to the point that if they lose to the Lions again today and there is no significant difference in the offense I believe he should be fired immediately.
If his relationship with Rodgers is damaged beyond repair and he can't fix the offensive woes, I just can't see keeping him over Rodgers.

Glad they didn't dump Mike and keep Bert.

I'm the biggest critic of Mike around. But this is only on him, to the extent that he is allowing it to continue.

His only gameplan this last year+ for dealing with problems seems to have been "hope they figure it out" not "hey this shit isn't working so lets change some things around and make it easier for them to figure out".

That's cool, but IMO you can't keep a player who's making a power play the way Aaron is. That's not OK.

You can to the point where you exhaust your options to get him right. If McCarthy lost his ear and has no chance of getting it back then you need to look for a coach who can get through to him. The risk of losing McCarthy is worth the chance of fixing Rodgers. The odds of finding a coach who is at a similar level as McCarthy are WAY higher than ever finding a QB at a similar level to Rodgers.
