So, back to my question.

What is it that brett believes so strongly thatTed Thompsondid wrong? it is not the lies before, it was whateve has happened since he decided to come back. He has to believe in his heart thatTed Thompsonlied to the press about Brett regarding something that would make him boil that much.

Why does it have to be Ted lied to make him boil that much?

IMO both sides lied, or did not tell entire truths..

I think Bretts ego was bruised and THAT is what is making him boil..

I think you hit the nail on the head LT.
And.........
Two people can see the SAME event, and have totally different views of what happened. Brett and Ted Thompson went through the SAME things, yet see it from their OWN point of view. Brett might see TT's not doing what HE wanted him to do as "lying", while Ted Thompson see's it as he was doing what was HIS job. Of course all we get is regurgitated stories, so we will never know what the real truths are. We can only judge it on what we hear.
Even if a "tell all" book from Brett comes out, it STILL will only be from that person's point of view. Those that WANT to believe that point of view will gobble it all up as "gospel truth" and use it to say "See? I told you Ted Thompson was a bad guy!" I hope that never happens though. I HOPE this is a dead subject and that it won't be dragged through the mud again. But from what i have seen from Favre, still trying to prove his point, i don't doubt that it may happen.....which would be sad.
The bridge has been crossed, there's no going back, so why let it ruin the future? What good can come from that?

I agree Tripp!! Brett you could tell was very hurt by what Ted Thompson said why else would Brett not be so forgiving? I think Brett isnt the type of person that would get hurt to easily other then things being said that were not true, so to me it had to be pretty bad for Brett to not forgive TT. We may get more of the story down the road, maybe some packer players may say something, I heard that they couldnt say a thing because they were told not to talk on the subject, now if you ask me for a link there is none, I heard it on NFL network and I havent searched for any.

Again if someone was attacking me over things that I didnt say, I would talk to try and get the truth out and to try and make people see my side of things. And again I have always said in a divorce, a squabble it takes two. Im not saying Brett was 100% correct either, all I am saying is it had to be pretty bad for someone not to forgive. Brett always wanted to retire a Packer, and for him not wanting to play for them again something bad had to have happened. I wouldnt want to play for a team that didnt want me back.

I am glad that both teams moved on, but I am mostly glad that Brett found a team that respects him and still has confidence in him. When I see him on the field as a Jet, I can tell hes happy just playing football and thats what matters most.

I think Brett has every right to talk and especially if the media is still asking him questions, he is going to answer them to the best of his knowledge. I do not believe that Brett would say something that didnt happen. Ted Thompson could do that samething, to me if I was asked a question and I didnt answer it, that would say to someone that I wasnt telling the truth, that I was going around that truth or the subject being asked.

Brett has never took the easy or PC way out of answering a question as far back as I can remember. The guy is an open window to his emotions and thoughts.. why would he change now.

It is much to do about nothing.. just more verbal spilling of his thoughts and feelings. Every person has them.. but he has his version as the Packers brass has theirs.. neither is faultless no matter how much they talk or how silent they remain.

Well, I'm not going to get much deeper than this.

From what I've read, Favre's a prima donna. Ted Thompson 's a d***. Both have serious communication issues. Both screwed up. The end result, the losers are us. Brett Favre is still the 2nd best active QB in the NFL (or to some of you 3rd or 4th, whatever). He gave us the best chance to win in '08. Now, he's gone.

Go Packers! And now also Go Jets!

(by the way, me calling Ted Thompson a **** doesn't change the fact that I think he's a damn good GM).

packerfanoutwest (12-Aug) : Matt LaFleur: “Highly unlikely” Jordan Love plays more this preseason

Mucky Tundra (10-Aug) : Sooooooo many penalties

TheKanataThrilla (9-Aug) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
