Traditional the Vikings have played a lot of cover 2 against Rodgers, basically saying, we're not going to let Rodgers beat us down field. Which opens up a lot of shorter stuff, including running the ball, which is why Eddie Lacy always seems to have a good/great game against the Vikings.
But the last game they played, they saw the Packers opponents were having success with being VERY aggressive and playing close to the line and leaving the outside WRs in one on ones and daring Rodgers and the outside WRs to beat them (and the Packers couldn't).
It'll be very interesting to see which game plan the Vikings come with, especially with one of their starting CBs out for the game.
If they go with the aggressive style daring Rodgers and the outside WRs to beat them... I honestly might just put Nelson and Cook as the outside WRs for some potential deep balls to the outside with Cobb and either Rodgers or Abbrederis on the inside. Nelson and Cook could potential be in positions to make huge plays there.
If the traditional cover 2, then have Cook stretch the middle like a normal TE might... trying to keep the Safeties worried about the middle of the field, which most likely would help set up others.
