Ok here we go again with this allegedly (in)famous column after each game.

The glass half full:

- Randall Cobb: He played with heart even as a RB, got hit a lot and always came back. Terrific effort.
- Ha Ha CD: He saved a TD and was very active. He is always good in hot climate a trend that continues.
- Lane Taylor: This goes in extension to the whole OL, great game, solid. Rodgers wasn't hurried or touched. Impressive against a very good defense.
- Jordy: Our favorite play: 'just throw it towards Jordy' is back and it works!
- Ryan and Martinez: Very nice game with more ups than downs. I like this duo in the middle.
- The DL: Absolutely nullified the RB of the Jaguars, they got under 50 yards at home in a close game.

The glass half empty:

- Journalists that said we have a great secondary. They have to stop drinking, it only takes 12 steps.
- Morgan -the horror- Burnett: He could have cost us the game. Enough said.
- Randall and Rollins: Always late, always burned, torched, it wasn't a disaster because Jacksonville is Jacksonville.
- The Jaguars: 4th and 1 and you run that play? Thank you very much friendly cats with a swimming pool!

It was a difficult game, I don't buy the Jaguars argument yet, they seemed to be horrible as usual. It was hot and we were playing away, we did what we had to do. Bring on the Queenies.

Don't know why you would include Randall, he had a very good game.

Bortles and and the Jacksonville receivers are going to make a lot of team's secondaries look bad this year, they have a lot of talent. After watching how the Colts played against Detroit I don't see why Jacksonville can't win the division this year.

I thought the Packers looked good, about what I was expecting with the injuries and lack of familiarity on offense there would be some miscues but they seem well on track to being a dominant offense come mid-season.

I wouldn't give up on the secondary yet. Burnett had a dumb hold, Gunter and Rollins were burned a few times, but Jax's receivers aren't bad. The Julius T TD was pretty good coverage. Rollins had a lot to do with the int. HHCD had a good game. They weren't perfect, but I still believe in the secondary.

We, overall, had a very good outing and have a very good team. What is going to make or break this season will be Aaron's ability to finally get in full sync with his receivers and the o-line's ability continue to grow with its new pieces.

PFF has Randall charted at 2 receptions allowed for 13 yards after getting thrown at 6 times. He also had 2 pass break ups and made some big plays on tackles including the game winner. If you wanna say he was bad because he was "out of positions" fine but I really honestly don't recall that he was.

Answering some other comments I really really don't see Jacksonville becoming the greatest show on swamp, the receivers had a lot of problems in our game and Bortles is, and has always been average. He did have a great pass to Julius but that was it. Maybe our secondary will improve if guys like Brice and Hawkins (injured) start seeing some field time and we see a little less of Burnett and Gunter. One good thing is that I didn't see Hyde in coverage, I hope that experiment is over.

TheKanataThrilla (22h) : Looks like we signed Clayton Tune as QB3
wpr (23h) : TKT people lose their minds over QB3. Point is almost none of them are ready that's why they are on the PS and other teams don't take them.
TheKanataThrilla (23h) : Unfortunately he doesn't seem ready to be an emergency QB.
TheKanataThrilla (23h) : As a Canadian and a follower of Canadian University football. I am rooting for him
dfosterf (23h) : I bet a lot of us will follow the Taylor Elgersma journey with interest. Personally, got a Kurt Warner vibe goin' on. I like him
TheKanataThrilla (27-Aug) : Not sure if either will be claimed though.
TheKanataThrilla (27-Aug) : Tune or Hooker would make sense
dfosterf (27-Aug) : Clayton Tune cut by the Cards? Don't know if that's the guy, we shall see
TheKanataThrilla (27-Aug) : Per Bill Huber, the Packers will not be bringing back Taylor Elgersma or Sean Clifford on the practice squad, so a new third quarterback

dfosterf (27-Aug) : Have to admit the PO'd Cowboy fan videos would be fun to watch. Problem with draft picks is half their fanbase barely knows what that is
beast (27-Aug) : I think Cowboys fans are ready to get their pitch forks and burning sticks if Jerry were to trade Micah
dfosterf (27-Aug) : If Jerry traded Micah to GB, here in northern Va. they would have to quick build yet another data center to handle the internet hate traffic
Zero2Cool (27-Aug) : its signing and trades that you don't hear about, other then announced
Zero2Cool (27-Aug) : If you hear rumors about Packers sign or trade, won't happen. Not how they work
dfosterf (27-Aug) : 19 players in a contract year. Jones called loss to us worst loss in Cowboy history. Forget Parsons trade. Not happenin' Cap'n
packerfanoutwest (27-Aug) : The Packers, meanwhile, are the youngest team in the league for the third consecutive year.
dfosterf (27-Aug) : That it was darkest before the dawn in Bengals and Commanders before they got deals done

Mucky Tundra (27-Aug) : Parsons has followed Rasheed Walker on Twitter. Quite the choice
Mucky Tundra (27-Aug) : Kuhn is a former player who works for the team, if somethings going down, he would be close to it
