I was surprised at the releasing of Fred T. But now Deuce? These guys are like staples in those cities and teams.

"I still have the itch to play," McAllister said, adding that he would not rule out returning to the Saints after he's been able to test the market.

"We've left that door ajar," Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said, but added, "I wouldn't call it likely."

His release puts the Saints under the $123 million salary cap.

He hasn't been healthy. They have Bush on the roster. He's old. Pierre Thomas is coming up as their feature back.

They don't really need him anymore. I think this might be the end of Duece, just like it was the end of Ahman this year.

Not much of a surprise really. Their last home game it was pretty apparent that he wouldn't be back. And still with the possible 4 game suspension hanging over him.

Wouldn't mind seeing him play someplace again though.

Its just kinda sad. He's done basically. Fred on the other hand may have a shot somewhere else.
