If Wayne Larivee (sp) wouldn't make every single play sound like it's the damn Super Bowl game clinching play, I might listen to the radio more often. He's too damn edge of your seat to the point I just get annoyed with him.

Really don't like Wayne, and like Larry even less. Jim Irwin and Max McGee were so much better. I really miss those guys.

Always resented Wayne for his Chicago ties and history and simply don't like his play by play.

Here is another typical Larivee call.

The Packers come up to the line, its 1st and 10 at their own 25 yard line. Rodgers steps under center. he takes the snap and hand to Lacy. Lacy moves to the left, breaks one tackle and cuts back to the right. Sidesteps another and cuts up field. He spins out of the grasp of the linebacker and cuts to the left and hes finally brought down at the 26 for a gain of a yard.

Now I understand that all of that can happen on that play and it may be a very accurate call but like you said he makes it sound like its a 20 yard gain.

I still like listening to him though and I would love to get a wave file (do they still call them that) of Larry's WOW!! as my notification ringtone.

I don't know what game you guys were watching but I spent an enjoyable evening watching the Packers get trounced 64-7.

That was the Cudahy Packers getting trounced by the Wilmot Panthers.

I agree with all the "don't like Laravee" comment. The way he announces it's nearly impossible to know and follow what really happening in the game, absolutely will not listen to him , it's too frustrating. I'd sooner listen to the opponents announcer in most cases. It's amazing we can't get better than that. Wish they could clone Ray Scott and bring him back.
