Great idea. Should have been done on a more detailed basis 50 yrs ago.

Adam Gase of the Miami Dolphins has decided his rookie minicamp will include the following.


I really like this and think more teams should follow suit. As the article states, the rookies started training after their last game for the combine and pro days and also been flying all over the Country for interviews. That takes a damn toll on you regardless of how young you are.

If you provide a solid foundation for your young men, it will only help them and inherently, your team in the future.

Do you agree with this approach or think it is hogwash?

Its a kinder, gentler NFL. I think its a great idea. It does two things for the rookies, it helps them deal with issues they will face which could be a problem and it shows them the team really does care about them even if it is just looking out for their investment. As for the team benefits, if it keeps one of their investments off the suspended list its worth it.
