just wanted you all to know that i just got off the phone with alan. he will be having open heart surgery monday morning at 7am. they found 6 blockages in his heart today. they would have done emergency surgery but because of all the medications he's on, they have to wait til monday. he's in columbia hospital. laurie jean will be emailing me updates & further information on the hospital, address, & phone number. i conveyed to them both that his family on packershome would be praying & thinking of them during this whole process.

i'm scared as hell. i love that guy!

Jeez, it sounds pretty serious.

Cheesey, I hope the surgery goes great and we'll all get to laugh at your one of kind jokes again!

Even though I have never met Alan in person, after all these years I truly consider him a good friend and a fine man.

Alan, my prayers will be with you and LJ. If there is anything that I can do, and I do mean anything, please let me know.
I am leaving for Boston on Monday.
But you will be in my thoughts, and I will be asking for God's care for you my very good friend.

And Julie it is normal to be scared.
I am also, but after all of my time on this earth and many travails, I have learned to trust in the Lord.

That's a shock to the system.

I wish Cheesey the best, I have all trust in him being back and posting again soon enough.

Like said before, please keep us updated. He's a great guy and, even though I know him less well than the most of you, I also consider him a friend.
